The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The main reasons were solid sales of spring merchandise as temperatures rose, continued strong performance from the men's brands, and a recovery at certain core brands that had struggled in the previous fiscal year. The impact of having 1 fewer holiday than in the prior year is expected to have reduced sales by approximately 1.9 percentage points. Excluding the impact of デイトナ・インターナショナル and ウォーターフロント, which became subject to consolidation from September, all-store sales were 102.6% of the prior-year level.
