Although sales of manufactured and other products and the resort wedding business struggled, revenue increased as the costume business and Sombreuil, a French restaurant within the venue business, performed steadily. The factors behind the increase in profit were that cost of sales did not increase as much as revenue due to higher revenue from costume-related activities and venue operations, which have low cost ratios, and that selling, general and administrative expenses were reduced.
