The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Net sales overseas for the interim period decreased due to weakness in Middle Eastern ethnic apparel, domestic fashion, sports-related products, lifestyle-related materials and the vehicle sector, as well as production adjustments. Although the introduction and expansion of high-value-added products and total cost reductions contributed to higher profit, these factors were outweighed by profit-decreasing factors, including lower production volumes, structural reform expenses and differences in raw material and fuel prices.
