The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The revenue mix improved as usage expanded among mid-sized and large customers and demand increased for high-value-added services such as design, implementation and component procurement, causing the gross profit margin to rise from 36.2% to 37.8%. Net income was reduced by approximately ¥38 million in temporary accounting factors, including ¥29 million in impairment losses on investment securities and other items and a ¥9 million impact from tax-effect accounting.
