Internet sales declined 6.5% year on year, due mainly to a reactionary decline following the strong performance of hit products in the previous fiscal year and the substantial sales contribution in the previous fiscal year from products that had been ordered but not yet shipped. Store sales increased 8.1%, driven by new store openings and higher sales at existing stores. Although temporary expenses were incurred in connection with new store openings and store relocations, the cost ratio improved due to a decrease in inventory valuation losses and other factors.
