The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Progress in property sales in line with the plan in the investment banking business contributed to overall revenue and profit growth. In addition, a gain on the sale of fixed assets of ¥1,174 million was recorded as extraordinary income. The investment management business reported lower revenue and profit, mainly because it did not receive the disposition fee recorded in the same period of the previous year, while the facilities management business returned to profitability as amortization of goodwill declined following impairment charges recognized at the end of the previous fiscal year.
