In the real estate investment and development business, the closing of a large-scale project in Shibuya, Tokyo, made a significant contribution to results, while the concentration of acquisitions in, and careful selection of, properties in exceptionally prime locations kept profit margins on sales at a high level. The real estate consulting business recorded lower revenue and profit due to declines in the number of closings, contracts and handovers. The real estate management business recorded higher revenue and profit, mainly due to an increase in the number of property management mandates, greater demand to correct gaps between rents, and an increase in mandates for success-fee-based consulting.
