Reason for the revision

Revenue is expected to decline because of lower sales of solar cell array support structures and metal sandwich panels in the metal processing business, as well as changes to and postponements of construction periods following revisions to plans for large-scale projects and lower-than-expected new orders in the construction business. In terms of earnings, the forecast reflects, in addition to the decline in revenue, a one-time M&A fee of ¥239 million associated with the acquisition of shares in B SLASH HOLDINGS and an expected operating loss because the 4 companies whose earnings are scheduled to be consolidated in the fourth quarter are expected to have few property deliveries during the quarter. Net income incorporates a gain on the sale of shares in an affiliated company arising from the transfer of Dairitsu shares.

Previous-period resultsFiscal year ended August 2025: revenue ¥23,037 million, operating income ¥1,383 million, ordinary income ¥1,401 million, net income attributable to owners of the parent ¥917 million, and net income per share ¥141.88

The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

In the metal processing business, data center-related projects performed well, but sales of solar cell array support structures and metal sandwich panels declined. In the construction business, construction periods were changed or postponed following revisions to plans for large-scale projects, while new orders fell short of expectations. In addition, the revised forecast reflects a one-time M&A fee of ¥239 million associated with the acquisition of shares in B SLASH HOLDINGS, as well as an expected operating loss in the fourth quarter because the period is expected to include few property deliveries by the 4 companies brought into the group. At the same time, a gain on the sale of shares in an affiliated company arising from the transfer of Dairitsu shares is expected to be recorded as an extraordinary gain.
