The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In the fastening-related business, sales of post-installed anchors, drills and fasteners were slightly below the previous year, while engineering-related construction revenue was also below the previous year for the second consecutive fiscal year. However, engineering-related profit exceeded the previous year as the company focused on winning high-value-added projects. In the functional materials business, sales of FRP sheets, alcohol detectors and electronic circuit boards remained firm, and orders for packaging and logistics equipment were also strong.
