Factors Behind Changes in Business Performance

In Japan, results were driven by increased production of automotive parts for major customers, higher sales of dies and other equipment associated with the launch of new models, and lower manufacturing expenses. In Thailand, lower revenue resulting from decreased production for major customers was offset by reductions in manufacturing expenses and selling, general and administrative expenses. In China, results benefited from increased production of electrification components for automotive battery manufacturers and the recovery of previously unrecovered die investment costs.
