The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Four new stores, growth at new formats including CONZ and RITAN, and higher EC sales drove company-wide sales. UNITED TOKYO, PUBLIC TOKYO and CITY were affected in terms of price competitiveness because they continued full-price sales as demand for sale merchandise increased, resulting in fiercer competition at commercial facilities. The China business was affected by a decline in the number of stores.
