The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

Higher app membership, increased brand awareness through social media and other channels, strong performance at new stores in western Japan, and higher customer numbers at existing stores contributed to revenue growth. Although cost of sales increased due to higher procurement prices for some ingredients, this was absorbed by a lower ratio of fixed costs such as rent and utilities resulting from higher revenue, controls on personnel expenses and SG&A expenses, and optimization of procurement and inventory management.
