Factors Behind Changes in Business Performance

Inflation, elevated construction costs, and high labor, energy and raw material costs continued. Revenue and profit declined in the Real Estate and Construction Business and the Asset Utilization Business, while revenue and profit increased in the Real Estate Leasing Business as a result of higher rental income and the maintenance of occupancy rates. In the Hotel Business, inbound demand driven by the weaker yen was supported by domestic travel demand, which remained sluggish, while higher raw material and labor costs also had an impact.
