The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Electric-furnace steel uses scrap as its main raw material and produces lower CO2 emissions than blast-furnace steel. By including TSC295 as an approved material in the specifications and using it for columns, where the use of conventional electric-furnace steel had been difficult, the company aims to contribute to the clients' ESG management and the development of sustainable local communities.
