- FY2021First statedAnnual report
「With the enforcement of this Act, our stores will be classified as Type 2 facilities, making it mandatory to prohibit smoking throughout the premises or install smoking rooms. To comply with the Act, we are proceeding with measures including making all areas smoke-free, installing smoking rooms and securing outdoor smoking areas, but the cost burden for refurbishing store facilities is increasing, primarily due to the installation of smoking rooms.」
The amended Health Promotion Act, which took effect in April 2020, requires measures such as banning smoking and installing smoking rooms. The Company describes the resulting increase in facility refurbishment costs and the potential impact on performance from reduced motivation among smoking customers to visit as new risks.
