Partially revisedEach line is the climb from the baseline the document states to the target it sets. The slope is scaled against the largest climb in this document. The increase shown by the dotted line is calculated from the two reported figures because the company did not provide the amount of growth.
The target for the percentage of stores in suburban areas was established based on anticipated demand for alcohol in suburban areas during the COVID-19 pandemic. In light of the recovery in demand for alcohol and banquets in central urban areas since the pandemic, the numerical target is being withdrawn because the Company does not plan to actively expand its suburban stores going forward. The target for employees per store is being changed from the initial target of 2.3 to 3.0 because a certain level of staffing must be maintained in light of recent labor shortages and to secure personnel for new store openings.

The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In the fiscal year ended February 2026, net sales increased due to the sale of real estate and higher sales at existing stores, while operating profit and ordinary profit declined because of fees and other costs associated with M&A. Net income met the forecast due to gains on the recognition of negative goodwill and other factors. The target for the percentage of suburban stores was withdrawn because demand for alcohol and banquets in central urban areas recovered more strongly than expected after the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Company does not plan to actively expand alcohol-focused formats in suburban areas going forward. The target for employees per store was changed to 3.0 to secure the workforce needed amid labor shortages and for new store openings.
