The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

The increase in gross profit resulting from higher revenue pushed up ordinary income. Selling, general and administrative expenses, including selling expenses and personnel costs, and non-operating expenses due to higher interest rates increased, but this was absorbed by higher non-operating income, including foreign exchange gains. The Company determined that continuing the capacitor business would be difficult because of prolonged losses, changes in the EV market, aging equipment and difficulties securing personnel.
