「At its operating sites, the company regularly measures Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions. Going forward, it will consider calculating Scope 3 emissions to understand emissions across the entire supply chain.」
Regarding its response to climate change, the company regularly measures Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions and has stated its policy of considering Scope 3 calculations and determining reduction targets. - FY2023First statedAnnual report
「The company conducted an analysis using multiple scenarios: a 1.5°C scenario that assumes progress in stringent environmental policies and regulations to achieve the Paris Agreement goal of keeping the rise in the global average temperature to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels while limiting it to 1.5°C, and a 4°C scenario in which necessary measures and additional policies to address climate change are not implemented, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions continue to increase under conditions close to the present, and the intensification of extreme weather becomes pronounced.」
In line with the TCFD Recommendations, the company conducted 1.5°C and 4°C scenario analyses and identified carbon pricing, rising electricity prices, plastic regulations, logistics disruptions, damage to operating sites and rising raw material costs as climate-related risks.
