Items this document does not state (21)
These are items the company does not state in this document. We do not leave them blank, nor fill them in from other sources or by inference.
The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Sales of prepared meat products such as meatballs and chicken soboro, shelf-stable prepared foods and emergency food products increased, supported by demand for boxed lunches and a shift back toward eating at home. Meanwhile, raw material, packaging material, labor and logistics costs increased, weighing on operating profit. The increase in ordinary profit was attributed to the appropriate timing of recording dividend income, while the increase in net income for the quarter was attributed to growth in ordinary profit and the leveling of corporate income taxes and other taxes.
