Briefing Materials on Financial Results for the First Quarter of the Fiscal Year Ending February 2027

In the first quarter, the overseas business recovered, resulting in higher sales and profit. However, consolidated net sales and operating profit fell below the year-earlier period because of poor scallop catches and delayed sales in the scallop-related business. Net income attributable to owners of the parent increased following the receipt of compensation.

The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

In the domestic scallop-related business, sales declined because raw material sales fell following a decrease in scallop catches in Funka Bay, and some transactions were pushed back to the second quarter. Operating profit declined not only because of lower sales but also because high-cost inventory produced in the previous fiscal year was sold. The overseas business recorded higher sales and profit due to the consolidation of Examas and Equipmax and the recovery of sales to restaurants, hotels and retailers in Singapore. Net income increased because まるかわ食品 received compensation.
