Factors Behind Changes in Business Performance

The year-on-year decline in operating profit and below was mainly due to the impact of temporary income recognized in the second quarter of the previous fiscal year. Selling, general and administrative expenses increased because of M&A activities and upfront investments in personnel and new businesses in the previous fiscal year. As a result of reassessing the recoverability of upfront payments made to Hippocratic AI, Inc., the Company recognized extraordinary losses, including a loss on contract termination.
