The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Sales at directly operated existing stores remained strong at 105.5% of the previous fiscal year, while the cost of sales ratio declined by 0.3 percentage points. In addition, the ratio of selling, general and administrative expenses to revenue declined by 0.8 percentage points, mainly because existing-store sales exceeded the previous fiscal year's level.
