The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In the restaurant business, performance was boosted by efforts to strengthen existing Asakuma restaurants, product initiatives and customer-attraction events, the all-you-can-eat sushi offering and operational improvements at ヤマトサカナ, and the consolidation of サンライズサービス. In the merchandising business, 3D drawing proposals and the in-house provision of operations at テンポスドットコム contributed. In the information and services business, however, net sales and profit declined due to upfront investment and a lower approval rate for IT introduction subsidies, among other factors.
