The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In the Coffee and Tea business, growth in domestic sales in China, higher selling prices driven by surging coffee prices, new customer development and price revisions contributed to the results. In the next fiscal year, higher material prices and logistics costs against the backdrop of the situation in the Middle East, together with growth investment associated with the construction of a new plant by a consolidated subsidiary, are expected to put pressure on earnings. The company intends to offset this impact by reviewing selling prices and improving supply-chain efficiency.
