The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Revenue from clothing and fashion accessories increased due to new store openings and earlier demand for summer clothing. Revenue from luxury goods rose on inbound demand and higher secondhand watch prices, while smartphone and tablet revenue increased as unit sales expanded and pricing was optimized. Luxury goods revenue also benefited from the elimination of the negative impact from U.S. tariffs in the year-earlier period. Revenue from new goods declined following the reactionary drop after the special demand immediately following the launch of Nintendo Switch 2 in the year-earlier period, but profit increased due to an improved product mix.
