Reason for the revision

During the interim period, the company received a large order for high-performance servers compatible with FHE, but sales of Vector Sign came in slightly below expectations, and unit sales of the main PC software products declined. On the earnings side, the main factors were the company’s restraint on outsourcing expenses for its AI-related business and personnel costs associated with hiring specialized staff, as well as the fact that share issuance expenses arising from the exercise of stock acquisition rights had been recorded as a lump sum in the previous year. The full-year figures were revised based on the plan to actively deploy funds for outsourcing expenses, system development expenses and sales activity expenses, among others, as well as on the previous fiscal year’s results.

The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

During the interim period, the company received a large order for high-performance servers compatible with FHE, but sales of Vector Sign came in slightly below expectations, and unit sales of the main PC software products also declined. On the earnings side, the company cited its restraint on outsourcing expenses and personnel costs for specialized staff, as well as the fact that share issuance expenses arising from the exercise of stock acquisition rights had been recorded as a lump sum in the previous year. The full-year figures were revised based on a plan to actively deploy funds for collaboration with partner companies, system development for the AI service platform and sales activities.
