Reason for the revision

Customers have become more rigorous in scrutinizing the cost-effectiveness of their education and training budgets. As a result, revenue is expected to fall below plan because the acquisition of new large-scale projects from large enterprises has been delayed, contracts are starting at smaller scales, and existing large-enterprise customers are taking longer to decide on expanding company-wide use. While strategic investments are proceeding as planned, the delayed ramp-up in revenue meant that fixed costs could not be fully absorbed, and profit is also expected to fall below plan.

The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

Revenue is expected to fall below plan because the acquisition of new large-scale projects from large enterprises has been delayed, contract sizes have become smaller, and existing large-enterprise customers are taking longer to decide on expanding company-wide use and entering into additional contracts. Although the company proceeded with strategic investments, including strengthening its specialized sales structure for targeting large enterprises and expanding functionality, the delayed ramp-up in revenue meant that fixed costs could not be fully absorbed, and profit is also expected to fall below plan.
