The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Revenue was broadly in line with the same period of the previous fiscal year. Although sales of the core product “CA Doctor” fell below the level of the same period of the previous fiscal year, demand from leasing-related and used-car-related businesses remained firm. Operating profit declined despite lower depreciation and amortization expenses and a reduction in the cost of sales following a change in business policy, as selling, general and administrative expenses increased due to higher research and development expenses and personnel expenses in anticipation of new businesses. Ordinary profit increased due to foreign exchange gains and higher dividend income, while net income increased due to the tax effect.
