Factors Behind Changes in Business Performance

Revenue increased due to higher orders in content production and the recognition of sales related to GARO works in content distribution. Operating profit decreased because amortization of broadcasting rights was recorded in content distribution and the Group's CS channels reported lower revenue. Profit attributable to owners of the parent decreased because of the reversal of the impact of extraordinary income recorded in the previous year from the sale of real estate by an overseas subsidiary.

The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

Revenue increased due to higher orders in content production and sales related to GARO works in content distribution, while operating profit decreased because amortization of broadcasting rights was recorded and the Group's CS channels reported lower revenue. Profit attributable to owners of the parent declined substantially because of the reversal of the impact of extraordinary income recorded in the previous year from the sale of real estate by an overseas subsidiary. No full-year forecast has been disclosed because the purchase price allocation procedures for グラニフ have not been completed, and the amounts and amortization periods of intangible assets and goodwill have not been finalized.
