The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The full-year forecasts were revised because operating profit is expected to significantly exceed the initial plan. Revenue and ordinary profit benefited from price revisions for maintenance services, new business and large-scale projects for ENE’s, while design services were affected by the number of new housing starts, the civil rehabilitation of a business partner and higher costs at the Chinese operations due to the weaker yen. Net income declined because the ¥71 million gain on the sale of shares recorded in the previous year was not recorded this year.
