- FY2023First statedAnnual report
「By 2050, we aim to reduce greenhouse gases, including CO2 and fluorinated gases, by 100% through measures such as switching to renewable energy, improving efficiency through cogeneration systems and upgrading refrigeration equipment. By 2050, we aim to reduce water consumption intensity by 20% and achieve zero water pollution through measures such as adopting air-cooled systems and improving water-treatment technology. By 2050, we aim to switch 100% of plastics to recycled materials and 100% of paper to forest-certified paper through measures such as reducing material usage by improving production technology and reviewing specifications, and switching to biomass materials. By 2050, in addition to focusing on measures to prevent waste through supply-chain efficiency and more accurate supply-and-demand forecasting, we aim to reduce food waste by 95% by selling products with no quality issues, such as minor chips, as irregular items through outlets.」
The group disclosed a comprehensive set of 2050 environmental targets: a 100% reduction in greenhouse gases, a 20% reduction in water-use intensity and zero water pollution, 100% conversion of packaging materials, and a 95% reduction in food waste.
