The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Revenue increased in the Health and Food Business, Domestic Other Businesses and Overseas Business, among others. In terms of profit, gross profit increased due in part to higher revenue in China within the Overseas Business, and an improvement in the freight and warehousing expense ratio also contributed to higher profit. These factors were partly offset by higher raw material prices and increases in sales promotion expenses and general and administrative expenses.
