「The Group adopted the “Accounting Standard for Revenue Recognition” (ASBJ Statement No. 29, 31 March 2020) and other relevant standards from the beginning of the first quarter of the current consolidated fiscal year. Revenue is now recognized at the amount expected to be received in exchange for the promised goods or services when control of those goods or services transfers to the customer. Previously, when by-products covered by recycling operations involving direct deliveries were marketable materials, revenue was recognized at the gross consideration received from the generator. When the Company and its consolidated subsidiaries do not control the by-products, revenue is now recognized on a net basis as the remuneration or fee expected to be received for arranging or brokering the transaction as an agent.」
Adopted the revenue recognition standard from the beginning of the fiscal year and changed to net revenue recognition when the Company does not control by-products in direct-delivery transactions. Revenue and cost of sales decreased by ¥107,998 thousand, with no impact on operating profit, ordinary profit or income before income taxes.
