The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In the fiscal year ended March 2026, domestic household sales were affected by weak consumer sentiment amid rising prices, while sales of products for commercial use were affected by lower unit selling prices resulting from reduced shipping prices. Ocean freight, packaging materials and logistics costs remained elevated, and expenses related to the new core system increased. The decline in ordinary profit was attributed to lower royalty income and losses on equity-method investments resulting from deteriorating results at overseas affiliates. The decline in net income attributable to owners of the parent was attributed in part to the recognition of impairment losses relating to SIS’88 Pte Ltd and its subsidiaries.
