The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The factors behind the improvement in results were the increase in compound feed prices in response to higher raw material prices, including corn prices, yen depreciation and soaring ocean freight rates; higher average selling prices; and improved margins resulting from better raw material positioning and the promotion of value-added sales. The significant increase in interim net income attributable to owners of the parent was due to the recognition of a ¥3.113 billion gain on the transfer of a logistics warehouse rental property in Yokohama as extraordinary income.
