The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The feed business reported higher profit due to higher average selling prices, improved raw material positioning and the promotion of value-added sales. The other businesses reported increases in both revenue and profit, owing to higher sales volumes, an expanded product lineup of specialty eggs, increased fertilizer demand and higher overseas sales volumes of livestock equipment. The recognition of a ¥3,113 million gain on the transfer of logistics warehouse rental properties as extraordinary income was the main reason for the substantial increase in net income.
