The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The Integrated Engineering Business cited the abundance of projects, primarily LNG-related, as the backdrop to its order intake target. In the Functional Materials Manufacturing Business, the company plans to expand production capacity and sales channels in response to growing demand related to semiconductors and data centers. At the same time, it identified higher equipment and materials prices and transportation costs resulting from prolonged tensions in the Middle East, constraints on the procurement of raw and fuel materials, and delays in customers’ final investment decisions as risks.
