Factors Behind Changes in Business Performance

Orders received increased from the same period of the previous year as a result of promoting the pass-through of rising costs into prices, particularly for redevelopment projects and logistics facilities, while conducting strategic order-taking activities based on the available construction workforce. Revenue decreased because a relatively large number of major projects were still in the early stages of construction, limiting the amount of revenue recognized based on work performed, and operating profit decreased in line with the decline in revenue. Ordinary profit increased due to higher dividends received and other factors.
