「As part of our biodiversity conservation efforts, in addition to promoting the “Five Trees” initiative, which proposes planting mainly native tree species compatible with the local climate and ecology, birds and butterflies through our housing business, we jointly developed in June 2024 with Think Nature Inc. the “Biodiversity Visualisation Proposal Tool (provisional name).” The tool proposes trees and other plants that can maximise the biodiversity conservation benefits of customers’ gardens, in pursuit of the internationally recognised nature-positive goal.」
Moving beyond the policy of using biodiversity big data and AI, we jointly developed in June 2024 a visualisation proposal tool designed to maximise conservation benefits in customers’ gardens. - FY2024-Q2First statedAnnual report
「In addition, our greenhouse gas reduction targets were certified by the Science Based Targets initiative as being aligned with the Paris Agreement’s “1.5°C target.” As part of our efforts to conserve biodiversity through our housing business, we have strengthened integrated proposals for homes and landscaping at detached and rental housing sites. We also entered into a partnership agreement with Think Nature Inc. to promote jointly the “Five Trees” landscaping and greening initiative, which proposes planting mainly native tree species compatible with local climate and ecology, birds and butterflies, and to use Think Nature’s biodiversity big data and AI to achieve “net gains in biodiversity and standardise calculation methods.”」
In addition to the existing “Five Trees” initiative, we entered into an agreement with Think Nature to pursue net gains in biodiversity and standardisation of calculation methods using biodiversity big data and AI.
