The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Steady progress on contracted projects, improved construction profitability and appropriate cost management were cited as factors behind the increase in profit. The upward revision to the full-year forecast reflects order intake at certain consolidated subsidiaries exceeding plan, steady progress on construction projects and an increase in gross profit on completed construction contracts due in part to a reduction in loss-making construction projects. The dividend increase is intended to enhance shareholder returns and raise the base dividend level.
