Items stated in the management plan
FormulatedEach line is the climb from the baseline the document states to the target it sets. The slope is scaled against the largest climb in this document. For metrics expressed as percentages, differences are shown in percentage points (pt). The increase shown by the dotted line is calculated from the two reported figures because the company did not provide the amount of growth.
Although the core business secured its highest-ever order backlog, it fell short of its targets due to the delayed start of large caisson projects, progress and scheduling delays resulting from accidents involving repair and strengthening work, the occurrence of remanufacturing and re-erection work in the consolidated business, and delays in large-scale projects. Based on these circumstances, the company positions this period as one for completing its transformation and taking on challenges beyond its existing domains, with the aim of achieving sustainable growth.

The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Under the previous medium-term management plan, the company secured its highest-ever order backlog, but profitability remained an issue due to the impact of accidents involving repair and strengthening work, delays in large-scale projects in the consolidated business, and the occurrence of bridge remanufacturing and re-erection work.
