Items this document does not state (11)
These are items the company does not state in this document. We do not leave them blank, nor fill them in from other sources or by inference.
The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Operating profit for the fiscal year ended March 2026 declined due to lower selling prices for crude oil and natural gas and lower LNG sales volumes. Net income declined due to the absence of gains on the sale of investment securities recorded in the previous fiscal year. For the fiscal year ending March 2027, the forecast incorporates higher crude oil and natural gas sales volumes in the U.S., as well as a gain on the transfer of the Hokkaido and Gas businesses, while factoring in alternative LNG procurement costs resulting from the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the absence of foreign exchange gains and derivative gains.
