The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The Company explained that demand from inbound travelers was supported by an increase in visitors from Europe, the United States and Asia, while demand from Japanese travelers also remained solid, enabling it to capture demand for personnel in its Tourism HR business. The revenue shortfall against plan was attributable to the continued high level of demand for employment placement services and lower-than-expected utilization in the Regional Revitalization business. Achievement of the profit plan was supported by advertising investments focused on cost-effectiveness and the timing shift of some upfront investments into a different fiscal period.
