Factors Behind Changes in Business Performance

The battery storage business grew substantially as a result of the expansion of non-FIT-related businesses and focused investment in the development and sale of grid-scale battery storage facilities. Meanwhile, profitability in the non-FIT solar power plant development business declined because the number of deliveries fell below plan and the profitability of some projects deteriorated. The energy conservation business was affected by the expiration of existing LED lighting contracts, the power business by delays in grid connections for some non-FIT power plants, and the maintenance business by factors that reduced revenue.
