The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Although selling prices rose as a result of sales of new products and the product mix, sales volume and mushroom production fell below expectations, resulting in revenue below forecast. On the profit side, business efficiency improvements through coordination between production and sales and cost control of selling, general and administrative expenses contributed to results. Standalone profit for the year also exceeded expectations because the one-off impact of the impairment loss on the mushroom business recorded in the previous fiscal year was no longer present. The dividend was increased based on business performance and the dividend policy.
