## 事業

Namura Zosenjo Group conducts shipbuilding, repair, steel structure and machinery businesses. No major changes in business content or changes in major affiliated companies during the interim consolidated accounting period. In new shipbuilding, cost-reduction efforts absorbed rising material prices and yen depreciation against the USD, contributing to higher net sales. Repair ships/postsale also saw substantial gains, and steel structure/machinery turned to profit. End of period orders on hand were 368,529 million JPY (YoY +32.7%). Breakdown: new ships 368,529 million JPY (YoY +32.7%), repair ships 10,140 million JPY (+7.2%), steel structure/machinery 6,938 million JPY (−15.3%), others 2,213 million JPY (−16.1%). In new shipbuilding, completed VLGCs and Handy-size bulk carriers, with orders for VLGCs and large bulk carriers. Repair ships: net sales of 10,294 million JPY and operating profit 1,602 million JPY; steel structure/machinery: net sales 2,481 million JPY and operating profit 11 million JPY. Other businesses: net sales 3,227 million JPY and operating profit 263 million JPY. Consolidated net sales 78,281 million JPY; operating profit 15,087 million JPY; ordinary income 14,583 million JPY; profit attributable to owners of parent 14,286 million JPY; comprehensive income 15,007 million JPY. End of period total assets 188,645 million JPY; net assets 93,860 million JPY; equity ratio 49.5%; cash and cash equivalents at mid-period end 70,655 million JPY. FX rate movement: end of period rate 142.73 JPY/USD (vs 149.58 JPY/USD previous period); average rate for sales 149.26 JPY/USD (vs 143.44 JPY/USD previous period). Total R&D expense 245 million JPY.
