## 事業

Kimura Kakoki is a comprehensive machinery equipment company focusing on engineering, chemical machinery, and energy & environment sectors, designing, manufacturing and installing chemical process equipment. In the second quarter of the consolidated period ending Sep 2023, net sales were 11,021 million JPY (up 17.8% YoY), orders received were 11,724 million JPY (down 9.0% YoY). Segment results showed favorable trends in all three businesses with controlled selling, general and administrative expenses. Operating profit was 763 million JPY (up 34.2% YoY), ordinary profit 831 million JPY (up 32.2%), quarterly net income attributable to owners of parent 556 million JPY (up 54.2%), and quarterly comprehensive income 804 million JPY (about +126%). R&D expenses for the quarter totaled 131 million JPY. The period notes no significant changes or events besides ongoing investments in IT, R&D and decarbonization, and participation in INECHEM TOKYO 2023 for product/information dissemination.
