## 事業

SAKAI Heavy Industries Group is engaged in manufacturing, sales, and export/import of construction machinery and construction machinery related parts. The consolidated subsidiary PT SAKAI ROAD MACHINERY INDONESIA was liquidated by merger with PT SAKAI INDONESIA as the surviving company on April 1, 2022; the company notes no changes in segment business content as a result. During the first quarter of the consolidated cumulative period (April 1, 2022 – June 30, 2022), sales were 6,865,299 thousand yen, operating profit was 448,943 thousand yen, ordinary profit was 516,771 thousand yen, and quarterly profit attributable to owners of parent was 402,508 thousand yen. Domestic sales were 2,811,422 thousand yen and overseas sales were 4,053,876 thousand yen; North America sales were 1,729,242 thousand yen, Asia sales were 2,184,361 thousand yen, and other markets were 140,273 thousand yen. Regional trends include recovery in North American demand, recovery in the Indonesian market, and a decrease in China domestic sales due to lockdowns in Shanghai. Application of ASU 2016-02 (leases) is noted. Financial position shows total assets of 38,436,032 thousand yen, equity ratio of 61.2%, cash and deposits of 9,391,196 thousand yen, notes and accounts receivable of 6,727,931 thousand yen, current assets of 25,566,903 thousand yen, current liabilities of 13,707,094 thousand yen, long-term liabilities of 1,160,280 thousand yen, and net assets of 23,568,657 thousand yen. R&D expenditure amounted to 214,833 thousand yen.
